About: I am a Biomedical Research Scientist with five years of experience. Since graduating, I have worked at the KEMRI Alupe HIV Laboratory and the Centre for Infectious and Parasitic Disease Control Research . I have consistently improved my skillsets through self-initiative by attending online courses offered by the Global Health Network and online trainings and have received certifications in Covid -19 Laboratory diagnosis and its management. I have also gained certification in Clinical Research, Good Clinical Practice, Good Clinical Laboratory Practice, Data management for Clinical Research Studies, Informed Consent, formulation of Research Questions and Clinical Study Protocols among others. I have also worked as a receptionist and support accountant for a busy private hospital. With my expertise in medical biotechnology, microbiology, molecular testing, data analysis, customer service and accounts, I can support the day to day running of research and clinical laboratories, and associated projects and programs. I am open to and looking for networks and connections to new opportunities in the field of Research. I am particularly interested in positions in which I can practice my technical skillsets in improving human health and along the ‘One Health’ research paradigm.
